Vibeke Luther

Vibeke Luther O´Rourke is an artist and designer working and living in Norway.  She works with the book as an artform, and her Artist’s Books has been a part of numerous exhibitions in the Nordic countries. She was a part of the Nordic Artist Book exhibition Kunstnerboken, Unik og mangfoldig at Kristiansand Kunsthall in 2023, Booked at MUU Helsinki Contemporary Art Centre in 2022, The Norwegian stately Autumn show Høstutstillingen in 2021 and taken part in many shows in Norway and international Artists´ Book Fairs.

In 2023 the Blaker Biennial at Blaker Skanse at Guttormsgaards Arkiv presented all the Artists´ Books published by Crow Press in collaboration with Steinar Opstad, the Norwegian poet.

She was a part of establishing The Nordic Bookbinding Society in 2022 and Guttormsgaards Arkiv Verkstedsbibliotek for Artists´ Books for book printing since 2023. She also established Crow Press, an umbrella for artist-led publishing projects in 2017, a private press collaborating with poets and writers within the area of Artist´s Books.

Crow Press editions are available in the National Museum of Norway (Nasjonalmuseet) library collection and Norway National Library. (Nasjonalbiblioteket) and have won one of the prizes from Grafill Beautiful Books award in 2019.

She received the Norwegian Arts Council work grant for 5 years from 2019 for her work with the Artist´s Book and Norwegian Art Council Project Grant in 2023 for establishment and preservation of a book printing workshop at Guttormsgaards Archives.
